The initial thought was to create the first test, where you can get a quick diagnosis, without having to go through 30+ steps.
That's when we started to play with isochromatic plates and colorblind confusion lines. And we thought, why not make people just read the result directly : "I am not colorblind".
We wrote "I am colorblind" with colors that colorblind people would not confuse with the background. For the "Not", we carefully selected colors that would fall on colorblind confusion lines. Hence, people with normal color vision read "I am not colorblind" and someone with red-green color blindness read "I am colorblind".
Other parts of the test are built on similar principles, to diagnose the form and extend of color blindness.
The result of this work is the first red-green color blindness test in 3 simple steps!
We hope people can use this test as a way to get a better understanding of their vision.
